This Day Ride from April 21, 2010 is a re-post from our old website:
On Wednesday April 21st- we had the day off- so we decided to get on our bikes for another day ride. We left our home in North Knoxville around 10:30 am and headed up Clinton Highway.

When we got to Clinton- we took Seviers Highway toward Oak Ridge. When we got to 61- we headed toward Oliver Springs. We rode through downtown Oliver Springs and continued on 61 toward Harriman.
When we got to Harriman- we stopped to eat at The Little Griddle Cafe.
It appeared that the Little Griddle had just recently opened- the folks were friendly and the food was good- we wish them well.
Here’s Pam getting ready to ride after lunch.
Look at the beautiful scenery behind Jeff!
After lunch- we got back on the bikes and rode to Midtown and then to Kingston. In Kingston we stopped by the water and took a few pictures.
We got back on the bikes and headed toward Lenoir City. Riding through Lenoir City- we headed back to Farragut and Knoxville- where we jumped on Pellissippi Parkway and rode to Western Avenue. When we reached Karns- we headed back to Clinton Highway toward home. We got back around 2:30 pm and our total trip was around 108 miles.
Once we got home, we realized we had been so focused on just riding- we neglected to get more photos! We did see some great old buildings and some wonderful scenery. But of course- in East Tennessee- that’s a given!
