This Day Ride from April 24, 2012 is re-posted here from our old website:
On Tuesday, April 24th, we took another Day Ride. Our destination was Uptown Ink in Oliver Springs to get some new ink.
We took off from our home in North Knoxville around 10:30am. The skies were cloudy and the temperature was 45 degrees. We gassed up and took 640 to Western Avenue riding into Oak Ridge.
We rode through Oak Ridge and continued north into Oliver Springs where we stopped for lunch at the Kountry Kitchen before heading to the tattoo shop.
We’ve eaten here before and as always, the folks were friendly and the food was great.
After lunch we rode around the corner to Uptown Ink. There we met up with Bunker, the owner and tattooist extraordinaire.
Uptown Ink is full of flash.
We brought our own designs and let Bunker do his magic. The following pictures tell the story.
Thanks Bunker! You know we’ll be back.
After getting our tattoos, we got back on the bikes and headed home. Our total ride was 80 miles and we came home sporting new ink.
