MONDAY AFTERNOON RIDE JUNE 1, 2009

MONDAY AFTERNOON RIDE

On Monday- June 1, 2009 we had our first ever “MONDAY AFTERNOON RIDE”. We decided to have a few of these Monday rides because many of us work weekends and are unable to attend organized charity rides. We also wanted to make these rides just for fun.

Here is Jeff and I (Pam) at the beginning of the ride. I'm smiling because we get to ride!

Our Monday ride started with 13 bikes. It was a bright, beautiful day.

We left around 2pm, heading south riding through Louisville, Friendsville, Tellico Village and finally stopping in Sweetwater to gas up and get a cold drink.

Rest StopBy this time we were down to 8 bikes and the remaining group was energized and ready to ride. The 8 of us continued on through Madisonville, then headed north on 411 toward Maryville. Our final stop was at the Dairy Queen in Maryville.

End of rideAltogether, it was a great ride! The weather was beautiful and the group small enough to keep together. The ride itself was really nice- some back roads, a few twisties and some great scenery. The ride totaled 100 miles.

Jeff and I really want to thank all the folks that went on our first Monday Afternoon Ride.
