On Wednesday, February 1st, we took a Day Ride. Our destination was Bush’s Beans in Chestnut Hill.
Jeff kicks off the day in this short video:
We left our home in North Knoxville around 11:00am. The skies were partly cloudy with peaks of sun and the temps cool- around 48 degrees.
We headed north on Broadway into Halls where we stopped to fill our tanks and get a morning snack. From there we took 131 north and then 331 into Corryton.

From Corryton, we took 61 which took us into Blaine.
From Blaine we took Indian Ridge Road, a beautiful country road with great twists and curves and gorgeous vistas.

Indian Ridge took us to Buffalo Springs and then over to 92 where we stopped at the Cherokee Dam.

92 took us into Jefferson City. We rode through the Carson Newman Campus and then back on 92 over to Dandridge.

We rode through Dandridge, over the French Broad River and on into Chestnut Hill.
We got to Bush’s at 1:45pm and went straight to the Cafe for lunch.

After lunch, we headed over toward the museum. But first we stopped to see the sites on the visitor’s patio.

After playing around, we headed toward the museum.

Then we entered the Visitor Center and checked out the general store.

Then we toured the museum- a fun and informative place to visit.

After finishing the self guided tour, you can get your photo taken and receive a free print out! A great memento to remember your day at Bush’s Beans.

Bush’s Beans is a great destination for a Day Ride. We highly recommend it!
We stayed at Bush’s until almost 3pm and then got back on the bikes to head back to Knoxville. From Bush’s we took 411 south to Sevierville.
We turned onto Old Knoxville Highway (66) and stopped to look at the Sevierville golf course- nicely maintained!

From Old Knoxville Highway, we rode to Boyd’s Creek, then back to Old Knoxville Highway, and then back to Knoxville.

We got back home at 4:15pm and our total ride was 115 miles.
