DAY RIDE TO SWEETWATER

On Thursday, February 18th, after a couple of weeks of rain, snow and ice- we finally got the chance to take a Day Ride.

We woke to cool temps with beautiful blue skies and no chance of rain.

Jeff kicks off our day in this short video:

We left our home around 10:30am with temps right at 30 degrees. We rode north on Clinton Highway.

We stopped at the new Weigel's on Clinton Highway to fuel up.

We then proceeded on Edgemoor Road and took Melton Hill headed toward Oak Ridge.

Once in Oak Ridge, we got on 61 and rode to Oliver Springs.

We rode through Oliver Springs, continued on 61 which took us to Harriman.

After riding through downtown Harriman, we took 70 back to Kingston and stopped at the waterfront park to visit the ducks.

After leaving the park, we took 58 south, then took 72 to Paint Rock.

In Paint Rock, we took 322 which took us into Sweetwater.

After our great lunch, we are once again ready to ride.

We left Sweetwater and rode north on 11 to Loudon and through Lenoir City.

In Lenoir City, we took Martel Road to Northshore Drive where we stopped at the Concord Dog Park and Marina.

We then took Lakeshore into Knoxville and finally back home.

We got home at 3:30pm and our total ride was 133 miles.
